COSTRUZIONE
Il NIZZA ha come principi di base il controllo della partita tramite il possesso. Questo possesso non è ovviamente fine a se stesso, ma serve ad attirare il primo movimento difensivo della squadra avversaria per andare poi ad occupare determinati spazi lasciati liberi dal dispositivo difensivo rivale al fine di concludere l’azione con un attacco all’ultima linea. In costruzione i due centrali difensivi si allargano per permettere al centromediano-metodista di inserirsi al centro.
I due terzini si alzano con i centrocampisti formando un 3-4-3. il duo di centrali difensivi sono il brasiliano Dante e il francese Jean-Clair Todibo. Questi ultimi sono elementi importanti della costruzione nizzarda, proprio perché sono quelli che devono leggere i movimenti difensivi avversari, individuando lo spazio libero dove muovere palla nel gioco di fissazione e liberazione predicato da Farioli.

SVILUPPO
L’idea alla base di questo modello di gioco è quella di impegnare i difendenti avversari tramite i propri i giocatori predisposti all’occupazione dello spazio, invadendo poi quelle porzioni del terreno di gioco che vengono liberate dal movimento attivo dei propri calciatori o da quello reattivo degli elementi della squadra in non possesso.

FINALIZZAZIONE
Nella fase di finalizzazione svolge un ruolo importante l’attaccante Moffi, grazie alle sue capacità nell’attaccare la profondità e nell’allungare la squadra avversaria, oltre a quelle di lavorare per gli inserimenti di esterni e centrocampisti.

NON POSSESSO
La proposta offensiva del Nizza contribuisce anche agli ottimi dati difensivi riscontrati dalla squadra rossonera. Grazie ad una riaggressione efficace infatti la formazione di Farioli risulta essere la migliore della Ligue 1 per non penalty expected goals.
La squadra in questa fase si schiera con un 2-3-2-3 in aggressione alta e 4-1-4-1 nella propria metà campo.
